Registration begins Maat 12:00 AM and will be closed at 11:59 PM that same day. If such circumstances arise, contact the Director. Likewise, if an artist is found to have lied or misrepresented themselves during the application process, the artist may be denied a table/removed from their table without recompense at the Director's discretion.įinally, the Artists' Alley Directors understand that sometimes special circumstances arise, and will try to make accommodations for these circumstances when possible. If an artist/studio is found to have violated any of the Alley rules set forth in this document, or any of the rules for the convention at large, the Artists Alley reserves the right to remove said artist from their table without refund. (Note: We have had conflicting reports about the availability of the Galleria's wireless, so that should be a plan of last resort.) If you want to use a netcard/aircard/cell phone connection for your laptop or pay for access to the Galleria wi-fi, go right ahead. You also have the option of requesting power during setup at the convention at the Galleria's Convention Services booth for ~$100/table. After the August 16th deadline, the power fee is non-refundable. Power is $85 per table for the weekend (this is the cost directly from the Galleria, no AWA markup is involved) and you will find an option to order power when you register for your table. Any cancellations made after August 16th, 2011 will not be refunded.Īny tables (sans badges) not claimed by 10AM on Saturday will be sold at the Artists' Alley Staff Table at half price ($50), unless arrangements for late arrival have been made with the Alley Director.Īs a courtesy to you (and the Galleria) AWA will be coordinating advance power requests for your table. A request made after July 16th, 2011 but before August 16th, 2011, will be refunded by half. A request made before July 16th, 2011 will be refunded in full. If, once registered, an artist finds that they cannot attend, they must make a request for a refund. Artists will need a picture ID and a copy of the confirmation email sent to them upon their confirmation. When those people get their regular con badges, they can bring them by the Artists' Alley staff table and exchange the regular badge for an Artists' Alley badge.Īrtists can check in to claim their table and badges at the Artists' Alley Staff table when the Artists' Alley is open, and at the door to the Artists' Alley on Thursday night during setup.Īrtists must check in and receive their badges before beginning to set up their table. Also include the names for the people above and beyond the two badges that are included with the table. When making your initial application, include the number of people you expect to attend. Thursday: 7 PM - 10 PM - Sign in, badge pickup, and initial setup only. Table Size: 6 feet long by 2 feet wide (just like last year) Table Cost: $100 - One full table, two chairs, two badges The following artist alley information has been cited from the Artist Alley Rules and Regulation thread over on the AWA forums If you have any questions, don't be afraid to ask. There's a lot of new artists applying for a table this year and this will really help you guys out. The 2011 Rules and Regulations for Artist Alley are here and rather than just have you guys and gals directed to the Rules and Regulations thread over at the forums, I thought it would be easier to repost here to provide as much artist alley information in the group as possible. I hope everyone got their applications in on time. * In addition, each chibi will be sold as an individual laminated cutout.Artist Alley Registration is currently closed. Location: Artists' Alley Marketplace (located in the Dealers' Room), Table #10 Banner: /art/…īlue-Eyed Saint /art/… Due to my nervous newbie-ness, I will also be sharing my table with a friend, for whom this is also her first Artists' Alley (actually, her first anime con at all). I hope I have enough prints, but I didn't want to end up with way too many either, so I kind of had to guess how many to have available. O_o Anyway, if anyone is going to be at AWA Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, please drop by if you get a chance!Īlthough I'm excited about this opportunity, I'm also rather apprehensive, as this is the first time I've ever been in an Artists' Alley (as more than a spectator), so I really don't have much of a clue as to what I'm doing. I'm still waiting on a few things to come in hopefully everything will be prepared by Thursday. This is rather short notice, but I am going to be at AWA selling my art! I only found out a few weeks ago, having gotten in through the waiting list, and I've been frenzied trying to get everything ready.
